Step 1 - commit some time to make it work...

I'm a great sceptic when it comes to the old Money For Nothing strap line. No one, and I mean no one, is giving money away. Therefore, if you want money you have to work for it in some way. Ok, so far, nothing mind blowingly profound :-)

So, the logical extension of this is that if someone says they have a Fantatic Deal that involves you making $X'0000's of dollars/pounds a day/month/year while you sit on your arse... they are talking crap. Big smelly piles of it!

So, my first step is to commit some time to make this experiment work. As I said before, I have a family (two lovely kids), a full time job and I spend about 3hours a day commuting. I am fully up on my new man duties around the house and I hate paying someone else to do stuff I can do myself (even if it takes me 10X as long). So I end up with Zero time to spare.

Solution: I have negotiated with the other half that I get one evening a week off to pursue this project. It means I have to give her an evening off and that means me working harder that evening, but that's the way the cookie crumbles - nothings for free remember - not even time.

So, this is my evening and I sit here at work, thinking what the next step will be. So here's my immediate plan:

• I guess to make money I need ad's, so how do I add ad's to the blog?
• To make money from ads I need people to come to my blog. So how do I get the blog rated by search engines?
• make the next stage of my plan :-)
